I finished the cover for Book 4. Depending on the ebb and flow of the marketplace (and my bank balance), it may not drop until late summer, but I thought you'd like to see it anyway.
Aaah! the torment continues! I'm still hoping for a release of the playing cards, Amy's canvas poster or the reprint of the first collection. I know you don't like the idea of pre-orders.. but these are desperate times!
Amy's canvas poster just wasn't good enough, and the art from the playing cards has been repurposed, so they are never going to appear.
The book isn't finished and there's no back cover, so let patience be your pre-order!
[The last few books have been printed in Hong Kong, with a two month lead time that was too long for a pre-order push. If I can find a domestic printer who offers a comparable price and quality without 7 weeks shipping time on a leaky boat, maybe I can get something like that working.]
The background, does it come completely from inside your head, or does it have any basis in this world? I am wondering if it is based on any particular city. It is very pretty.
Your extras section hasn't felt your loving touch in a while. Perhaps a collection of the pictures from the cards might find its way there? Maybe a download for a small (minute) fee? I desperately wish to give you my money, but I don't deal in shirts with patterns.
Very nice! Great mix of the solid and the surreal - the colors of the gals and crazy bear really pop against the background. Also the position of his mouth leads me to believe he's droning on with some tourist info.
oh my ... i got a little too excited when i saw that. here's to hoping it's available, like, tomorrow. it will contain some of my favoritest storylines! commencing squealings! i wonder if the drawn parts will be replaced with the usual art-style. i hope not, because i have love for the hand-drawn comics. lurv, even.
The Oldbourne story will not feature in book but the story that follows it will (where Esther and Erin go to the party), as hand drawn or not I really like those comics. I am working on drawing a little four page insert that explains away the Oldbourne thing.
It's coming down to issues of length now, I didn't want it to be more than 200 pages but I think that's unavoidable because events at the school are spiralling out of my control.
I shouldn't have said "ALL THAT"-- what I replied to had both a comment about your Scary Go Round and that Misfits Journey comic... I was referring to the Misfit stuff: http://www.webcomicsnation.com/benadams/
Also, I'd like to clarify, there are people who can do WONDERFUL looking work on the computer, and yours is definitly one of the best!- That 3D posing crap though.. MEH.

A thoroughly lovely illustration, sir. I await with credit card in hand.
Will it contain wagtails? or maybe some 'tits?

I love the cover... It reminds me of all the John Irving novels that feature Vienna or bears... which is pretty much all of them.

Are you planning on including the Oldbourne pages in the new Scareodeleria volume?
Yes, I hope to put them in there, that is the plan.
The cover was linked to on Comixpedia, and drew a comment from a DJ Coffman which I thought was kind of hilarious:
"All of that computer art stuff just looks off to me. Looks like he spent a lot of time on it though."
which I interpret as "it looks bad but he sure wasted a lot of time doing it. Time he could have spent doing murders".
John-- found this on my referrel logs...

I love your style, it's so precise, yet edgy and just pure cool. I'm a big fan of your comics :) All the best.
