I have just returned from a two and a half hour biopic of Edith Piaf, in French. I hadn't spent a lot of time thinking about Edith Piaf previous to today but now I am thinking she had some good ideas about singing. I reckon this one will be rocking the multiplexes coast to coast like Grease, Star Wars, Jaws or Total Recall!
I think this is a good film for people who like sounds, ideas, boxing, disease and pianos! 8/10!

Oooh, I've been meaning to see that one. Right, it's settled, if I can't find a friend to go with me I will just go on my own. (I just moved to London and don't know many people, but one of my friends here is a francophile, hopefully she will go with me!)
I quite agree with the review. It is a biofilmography that succeeds in neither being
a) Too long
b) Too boring
or
c) Too long and boring
Pardon my pedantry, but why have you accompanied a post about an Edith Piaf biopic with a picture of an Ethel Merman compilitation cover?
It's meant to be "funny".
I enjoyed the film! It was a bit long but I stuck with it. She had a rough old life, that bird.
