Winners don't do hugs

I've been practising drawing Shelby Winner so she doesn't have five faces in her first five appearances (woah, daylight on magic there &etc). So here's one of several. There was a big hairstyle workshop a couple of Saturdays ago, which ended with the words "more thatchy" written over and over again.

MORE THATCHY
NO LESS THATCHY
YES JUST THATCHY ENOUGH

DOUBLE-PLUS AWESOME!

I am loving the whole Conde Nast thing. Just screamingly funny!

Also, thank you for my "Ghosts" comic book. I love it! Tomorrwo, when the family is out, I'll _read_ it!

I ask you what is with these mod-ren hairstyles what with looking like a squirrel has nested in the top regions but the bottom regions have been relentlessly styled and brushed out? This trendy thatchery is ludicrous and most unsatisfactory to my refined eye, and so if I am to hate this Shelby character you sir have succeeded.

I find anything new ravishing and exciting. On Later with Jools Holland on friday Roisin Murphy was wearing jacket that was patently a tribute to Noh Theatre styles. I say yes to thatchery, and more of it. Down with hate!

PS Mordicai: NO MORE THATCHER (and that includes Carol, and Mark who tried to fund a coup)

Lord, when did thatchy become for hairstyles and not for roofs? My theory is that humans have a primal desire for thatchy things, and since thatched roofs are mostly a thing of the past, we have to make up for it with hairstyles. (Also, don't tell anyone, but my hair may be short and thatchy at this point.)

She looks a lot like caricaturist Marlo Meekins: http://marlomeekins.blogspot.com/

Something like this would go great on a new canvas print :)

I am familiar with La Meekins (I met her once, it was like meeting The Queen); given how amazing she is at rendering herself in bizarre, exciting and ghastly ways - I wouldn't dare try!!!
