amanda, perhaps Moon can be from a terribly well-to-do Beacon Hill family. they all sound british on paper. as far as i'm concerned, there are far too many different flavors of americanese to call out what we would or would not say. besides, when i'm around friends who speak other flavors of english i always end up talking like them. moon couldn't help but have ernest and desmond rub off on her a bit. (see, i just said a bit.)
Amanda I do my best with foreign dialects but fall oh so short! I may activate the time horn and change some words! Get on the private line if you think I need more fixin's!

Oh John, you need some good old Americanization of Moon's dialogue in this one!
Panel 2: We usually drop the "has", making it "Someone left a note."
Panel 4: "A bit" sounds Brit! Make it "a little." Or to make it nice and drawly: "fawn and toady some."
I share because I care. :)
Ooooh, I'm liking this poster a lot. Huge depth of field, giant robot, cars, oblivious heroine...
