Like a three-legged dog in search of a crutch

After a power meeting with Mr Andy Bell (who debated its "pervasive sense of magic"), I have made revisions to my poster. I post them purely for comparison.

I like the old one still. grendel looks more dragon-y, less like a malevolent cow. the bigger is better, however.

the transparent water kinda looks weird too.

Christian, you are not helping my blood pressure.

For what it's worth, John, I think the bigger monster is the better monster and I would definitely like to buy that poster should you put it up for sale. I just moved into a new flat and it has lots of bare walls which are crying out for a poster like that.

Maybe if I buy this one, the crying will stop and I'll be able to sleep at night.

The transparent part works quite well, and I love your use of colour.

Looking at the two versions side by side I have to ask: have you ever thought about doing Scary Go Round spot the difference illustration?

I like this one better! I wasn't too sure when I saw the inital sketch but I love the colours!

I dunno which I like better. This is just too confusing.

I saw the water as lava the first time, so if that's not what was intended, the second version is better. I like BOTH dragons. The first one looks more sneaky; I reckon it could take the big one in a fight if need be!

I like the first poster better ALL AROUND. The bigger grendel DOES look to dumb to be much of a fighter--it looks like Shelly is pleased that he might milk it for her, whereas the skinnier monster probably would yield very little milk.

Mister Andy Bell should let you do your own monsters and stop interfering. I will not go all art majory on you and list my nineteen well thought out reasons why the other one is better, instead I will just say that I would buy the sneakier dragon one and not the cow dragon one.

Oh oh I can't help myself, that transparent water/lava just ruins it, it really does.

I, for one, am now more worried for Beowulf...

this one is much better!!

Mizufae: calm down! As I've told you, unless you win in a draw-off against me, and produce your degree certificates, telling me you don't like something after I sent it to the printers is going to get you nothing but finger-ache.

The original dragon was much too small, and the more I looked at him, the more he infuriated me. Why am I even typing this

the dragon looks much better without mutton-chops

I rather like this one better: the first one was somewhat lacking a sense of focus and balance, and this one doesn't. (Though I agree the dragon is a bit bovine. But having him take up more space, whatever his shape, is definitely better.)

As for the transparent liquidy stuff at the bottom (whatever it might be), I didn't even notice it at first.

Love the changes. BTW, shirts arrived last Monday, order was complete and thanks for the *extra*!

It now decorates my Mac-Air, a sole point of sully making me the five thousandth coolest guy ever, which is still pretty good if you didn't know.
