Batdance

I attended Manchester Comix Collective's Drink and Draw this weekend and have the following to report: Batman. I drew a load of Batmans. I don't spend much time thinking about Batman and I've read only a couple of Batman comics ever, but apparently, I know all about him!

BATMAN

Really glad you posted these. I love Gordon's "yeah, Batman, it's a crime".

And I found out yesterday whilst reading some notes on the current Grant Morrison Batman run that it was Aunt Harriet in the TV show and Aunt Agatha in the comics. My bad..

I especially like the Joker's little deet deet feet. That is exactly how I would sneak up upon Robin.

Yes. That is exactly how I remember the batman movies.

In all seriousness, I love the sketches that you post on your blog. I really think that if you offered a surprise-o-sketch option on the store it would do pretty well.

Johnny these didn't just make my year, they made my decade.

Also, the way you draw Batman in the first picture is alarmingly like the way I drew him when I was wee. (Specifically the abs)

Could this be a startling new direction for the next Batman movie? Probably not, but we can dream.

this captures everything I love about Batman! My favorite movies were the 1960's Batman Movie (it still has tthe pows and biffs, etc) and the newest one, for making Joker seem more sane than usual in his insanity. Ledger really understood the criminal mind. I think.

And yes: the lines are all excellent. I really love Mr. Problems. Really. He reminds me a bit of the Jason character on Home Movies, mixed with a crazy guy.
