I'm currently working on the second Bad Machinery book for Oni. There's a lot of new material in the book version of The Case Of The Good Boy, and there are a lot of fixes to do - I took a rough and ready approach at the time that has meant endless touch-up to make the story fit for the large format books that they're coming out in. Enjoy a game of spot the difference with this page (maybe the worst I had to work on for mis-shapen, off-model figures, unfinished lines and slapdash colouring).
If you feel like posting "I preferred the original," oh, go right ahead. I don't mind.

Does this mean you'll fix Jack's bog-eye on panel four of http://scarygoround.com/index.php?date=20100420
No! It's intentional bog-eye.
The changes are kind of subtle in this one (apart from panel six obviously).
I like Lottie's new look of disgust. I'd forgotten about the awesome circular hairdo she sported in the earlier stories.
Reminds me of the unselfconscious dos everyone has before the serious business of high school aesthetics takes over. Pre-glasses Shauna always looked like Debbie Harry to me for some reason.
Well, the body language in panel six is easier to read now. But wasn't the old panel more dynamic, more interesting and even more appropriate for the content: going through extreme movements?
Noribori: maybe, but it's one of about 800 panels in the book, so I feel I can sacrifice one panel of dynamism for the sake of correctness. I tried to redraw it as-was, correctly, but it didn't look right.
I would agree that panel six was more dynamic in the original, but in isolation from the other panels it almost looks like Jack had stumbled on something horrific that the reader and the rest of the gang is about to witness. The problem with the panel is that it requires both panels beside it to give it context.
The new panel is read much better on its own, perfectly from left to right. Linton and Sonny happily dizzy from the ride, Jack however…
