A while ago Gene Ha, America's leading (some would say premier) comic book artist asked me to send him a pencil sketch so he could mess around with it. There wasn't really much to it but this is what eventually came back:
That someone who has worked with Alan Moore would take an interest in my little venture gave me a huge swell head for at least a week. Thank you Gene!

I'm seconding the socks and adding the frock. If I was that well decked out, I would also make such faces at impertinent housework.
I'm sure compliments don't have the same gravity when coming from a humble reader, but might I say it's a well deserved swelling of the head.

I've been looking for my scan of the original but I can't find it, so it might be lost to history I'm afraid.
