I had two extremely mean-spirited ideas for shirts in town this afternoon. The first came when I heard a loud middle-aged lady poking a friend on her phone on Facebook.
And in other news, that's so random, that's soooo random! Yeh man. EXCEPT THAT IT IS NOT RANDOM AT ALL.
They are probably too mean to make.

I would definitely buy the phone one. The ubiquity of smartphones, and the people staring into them entranced, drives me up the wall.
The phone one is brilliant... I've a friend who works for a certain mobile phone company and it's meant for him...
These are both great and I was thinking that exact thing about the word random yesterday. Although there are already a couple of shirts in the store that I would like to buy the next time I make a round of SGR purchases so I can't promise to buy them all.
I would gladly buy them both, and I am starkly anti-confrontation even indirectly so I think they're both awesome enough to not be offensive.
Also the people these shirts apply to probably wouldn't get that it was referring to them anyway. Go for it, I say.
As a statistician I really appreciate the sentiment! People misusing the word "random" is a huge pet peeve of mine.
I want them both, preferably with each design on the opposite sides of a single shirt, because that's just efficient. Plus, this shirt will be hilariously dated in ten years - a real value add.
The phone shirt would definitely upset some of my co-workers who would live inside their phones, or possibly marry their phone, if that was at all remotely possible. I love it.

My boyfriend works for a company that makes these phones. If you decide to sell the phone shirts, I'll buy two. X)
The fully realized design of the phone shirt makes it a winner, I think. It is mean spirited in the nicest way. I mean, that is a thumb on that hand, not a middle finger.
As somebody who has the misfortune of working on smartphone operating systems for a living, I'd be likely to buy these for coworkers who take their jobs too seriously.
I have been angry about the misuse of the word "random" since 2001 when I was a newly-minted undergraduate horrified by my classmates' shallow and ill considered vocabularies.
I had hoped that this was just a bit of fad slang, but no.
So I say yes yes yes to the second shirt.
I vote for 'random', other word shirts in the series could be ironic (or ironical, as some madmen say), and epic.
Also, a possession/omission shirt for apostrophes would be a win.
However, as great as the random shirt is, honestly i don't think I could buy it, I understand the costs involved for you, but it is just too expensive for a broke Brit such as myself.
LOVE the Random design!
I take it you probably saw the Rowntree's Randoms adverts.
That was just a step too far!
This is not to invalidate your previous Carnival of Ideas, but both of these are basically solid gold.
The random one should be MORE mean. Much more mean. I'd like to see the concept developed into pure hatred on a tee.
I'd say I'd wear it but I wouldn't want to people to see me wear a shirt with the word 'random' on it. I don't even want to acknowledge its existence as a commonly used 'adjective'. What a random comment from a random reader.
Add in a "That's not what 'literally' means" shirt, and I will just alternate between these 3 shirts every time I visit my sister.
How sad that you only sell AA t-shirts, and in such small sizes. How nice, however, that I can grab your lovely image, email it to my self, and put it on my celly. That will make me even *more* interesting!!!

DEATH TO ALL shirts for the rest.
Wait, how are the kids using "random" these days? I'm not sure I'm aware of this phenomenon. Can anyone give an example?
i want the 'random' shirt sooo bad - please please please :)
