Here's a new commission that I have just completed, it's Shelley and Joanna Newsom judging jams. It was nice, gentle subject to draw; soothing.
I am in the process of working out a new Shelley project. It's a book, and it has lots of drawings, but it's not a comic per se. It's utilitarian. What could it be?

My mind screams COOKBOOK.
A transBriteration dictionary / thesaurus?
Aw John, two of my favourite ladies that I've never met. There is no-one as good as you - at least for this kind of thing - on the internet; if there is, then I've never met them.
I've got my fingers crossed for "workplace safety instruction manual."
Coloring book?
A Smart Lady Guide to Public Utilities?
It must be an instructional book about making award-winning jams, written by Joanna Newsom and Shelley Winters. Illustrations by John A.
A safety instruction manual with these kind of illustrations would be awesome.
But, a Cookbook will suit perfectly.
Signs point to a book about Jam.
With or without rampaging giant wasps.
A COLOURING BOOK IT IS A COLOURING BOOK!
If I may use your most recent drawing as evidece, I would say that it is a book-o-jams.
Dr. Ladysounds' Guide to the Ultimate Record Collection?
This illustration makes me unbelievably happy!
A tourists guide to introduce our overseas guests to some of the less known imaginary towns, villages, nature reserves and wildlife of britain.
*fanboy swoon*
Sorry about that... Shelly and Joanna together, that's one truly classy mix. Honestly, whatever the book is, I'm already hook line and sinkered into it.
Ooh, a coffee table book. Those are super-functional.
I really like your work, BTW. I have been following it for the past 6 six years, ever since I studied abroad in England and discovered it. It helps that I am one of those englo-phile Americans (I'm not sure if that's a real word, but if it is, it means that I'm in love with anything british.)
Anyway, thank you for many hours on entertainment.
Hi John, I just bought a four pack to complete my SGR Collection. Damn you, sir! Now I'll have to buy another book when you release it. My shelves are groaning under the weight of your art.
Keep it up please!
