Is it really sixteen years since Aimee Mann's "Whatever"? Really? Oh no. Oh nooooooo. Oh dear.
I enjoy her more recent records with a mature ear but I can still remember seeing this on the ITV Chart Show on a Saturday morning and being quite excited. Almost as excited as I was about Sugar's 'If I Can't Change Your Mind' because I had no truck with Pantera whatsoever.

I liked the song about standing on the edge of the Hoover Dam as well. I had that album on a T90 tape, the other side of which featured It's A Shame About Ray. The two have been connected in my mind ever since.
I was going to put 'Confetti' on as the third video of my C90 trianglesworth but I was not allowed to embed it by the BUSINESSMAN in his SUIT AND TIE.
sugar! i think i still have their "file under: easy listening" album somewhere. those were in my prime cd/cassette buying days when i was a member of both columbia house and BMG. oh sooo many free albums....and a few unpaid for albums too.

Wow - that Aimee Mann video. I love her, and I even love that song, but the video is amazingly awful!
I don't think "Imago Records and Tapes" was a very good record label, nhex, I don't think it was a very good record label at ALL.

That said, that look in Bob's eyes is as hot as it ever was.
