Painting for freedom

New painting up for sale on Monday, start making a pile of pound coins if you think it might be what you want! I'd put it up for sale today but invariably they end up selling three times over in the night and I have to disappoint people.

These things have a set price, Cottrell, auction leads to overpricing or shortfall. First come first served is much fairer.

It was a good... MANTIS. Thank you!

Your water colors are my favorite thing you do aside from comics. I will always be ready to buy one.

I really wish you would do more so I could get myself a piece of your art. I never even see them until they've sold.

Watercolor is fun, I really like this one. ^_^

Was it hard to get all that green in the praying mantis without it leaking?

And I was wondering, what's your favorite way to draw? I guess they call it a "medium"?

I will start watching for new art much more closely. Not quite fixating, but nearly...

Also, I liked The Boy's "Wales is OK!" shirt.

And your writing skills are mad.

I do love Esther, really. She just is so cool. Which is why I do love the whole Esther run here...first ghost kraken, now this! More Esther, please.

Esther= the win. The huge, incredibly enormous win. And I am so very glad she has finally conquered The Boy's enormous wall of cluelessness.

Cheers to you, Mr. Allison! You are a bright lantern shining across webcomicdom. And your light is pleasant, not garish like a disco ball.

esther is the best new add in a long time. SGR is all the better for the little dark one.

Hey, if you're not doing T-shirts, how about posters? There is a whole world of merchandising out there.

Hey John,
I can't help coming back to this site to look at your painting of Dark Esther. It's really mesmerising. Your painting skills just get better and better. Keep improving and I might start to like them even more than your comics! Anyway, I hope you have an excellent vacation and come back turbo-charged. I'll miss my daily scary go round very much, though.
