Brighton Update

Due to our short-sighted bigamy laws, I am going to have work out which one of Brighton combo The Pipettes I most want to marry. Tune of the year (week)!

Curiously enough, when I first heard the Pipettes' music through an enthusiastic friend, I instantly thought 'oh my God, it's like someone sublimated Scary-Go-Round into music', what with the polka dot style, the well-intentioned surf rock sound and the pretty ladies. I considered emailing you the link, but I thought 'no, don't be silly, he doesn't want music recommendations from his fans, don't be ridiculous, no'. What a fool I was.

Never heard that before, but I certainly liked it - to HMV when payday arrives then... and dave, there's two blonde ones! But the lovely brown haired girl floats my boat just that little bit more... she has 'cheekyness' in spades.

by the way - would I be right in saying that the true soundtrack for SGR could pretty much be anything ever released on Sarah Records? Now there's a label...

Saw them supporting the Go! Team back in February. They're even more attractive from 4 feet away. Fun songs as well, though they have a disturbingly hairy backing band. Methinks ye shouldn't let 'em go out under t'full moon.

You don't have to marry them...just enter some common law-like living arrangement...Or move to Utah..
