A ringing endorsement

Longtime readers of this blog know that I am not over-enamoured of Oldham Metropolitan Borough. It's not really the place for a person like me, but for some reason I seem to have lived here for 8 years. Anyway, I think things are gathering a kind of critical mass - see the leaflet (below) that came through my door this morning.

Shamen are now congregating on my doorstep. I anticipate this new local trend for spells can only be the tip of a terrifying iceberg.

That flyer is practically a Scary Go Round joke, my goodness.

We've got one of those in Moss Side too!
Perhaps they're actually gathering up their own evil armies of lost souls, ready for an epic battle somewhere between Oldham and the inner south suburbs. Moston, perhaps. Definitely somewhere on the A62.

How strange! I think there would be firey pitch forks around here if someone put those through doors!

The sensibilties of small villages!

Maybe it's a fan letter?

Perhaps Mr. Godiba can help you choose the most fortuitous place to move!

Their will be a mob with pitchforks and torches prowling this 'Cottam Street' by dawn.

Whilst I'm here, I notice that both my Ester and Curious Orange prints are marked 20/300 - is that an amazing coincidence (300 to 1, a little amazing), or were you being unnecessarily sweet and matching up the orders of those who had ordered both?

Has Ralph's last name ever been mentioned in the comic? I think you've found one for him now.

Tom: the smart money's on Droylsden for the Magic Inferno.

Laura: Godiba's powers would make it easy for him to hold sway over a village.

Lauren: Godiba suggested Timperley, home of Frank Sidebottom.

Wombat: ha ha ha! I am laughing because you overestimate my powers of organisation so. This coincidence suggests the dread hand of Godiba once more.

Duct Tape: I think he does have a surname, but please don't ask me what it is because I don't remember.

I get those sometimes. That one looks like it's been directly translated from Portuguese, even.
